Other Liturgical Celebrations
The following is a list of special events that occur annually in the Parish.  The times and dates listed are tentative so please consult the weekly parish bulletin to assure a change has not been made.

Blessing of the Animals

In honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi who loved all of God’s creation, we bless the pets that are very much a part of our lives.  The blessin usually occurs in the first part of October.  The actual date of the Blessing will be published in the weekly parish bulletin.

Evening Prayer/Liturgy of the Hours

Thursday evenings during the season of Advent and Lent, our parish prays the Liturgy of the Hours  known as Evening Prayer.  The prayer consists of psalms, readings, songs and intercessions.  Soup Suppers may accompany the Lenten prayer.  Watch the weekly parish bulletin for further details.

Fridays in Lent – Mass and Stations of the Cross

On each Friday evening during Lent, Mass is celebrated at 7:00 p.m.  Following the 7:00 p.m. Mass, all are invited to pray The Way of  the Cross in church.

Holiday Mass Celebrations

On Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving we have one Mass at 9:00 a.m. Each of these liturgies is prepared with the focus of the holiday in mind.

Memorial Day

Mass is celebrated for all who died in the service to our country and for the faithful departed of our parish, especially those who died in the preceding year.  Friends and families of the deceased are encouraged to attend.
